An economy cycle is where the outside air is used as the first stage of cooling. HUB systems monitor the outside air temperature and when energy can be saved by using fresh air instead of return air, the system activates the economy cycle. This system is popular in commercial office buildings.

Fresh injection is a HUB system that monitors occupancy and modulates the volume of fresh air proportionally. A fresh injection system modulates a fresh air damper when the Co2 increases above 800 parts per million. If the Co2 continues to rise above 900 parts per million a backward curve indoor fan is activated and injects fresh air into the system. By taking this approach your system maintains good air quality even when a temperature based VAV system is in use. This system is often used in medical consultancy rooms and for other compartmentalised loads.

Air-wash is a wash cycle for your indoor air. It consumes significant additional energy to have high efficiency filtration in circuit continuously while heating or cooling is active. HUB's Air-wash module bypasses the high efficiency filters during heating and cooling operation and then once per day enters a wash cycle where multiple air-changes pass through the high efficiency filters. Air-wash is often used in residential and medical consultancy applications.

Bio-wash utilises UVC light to break down DNA and eliminate microbial growth. Air conditioning system continuously generate water and where there is water there is life. Bio-wash targets the main source of microbial growth and sterilises the heat exchanger.
